As part of our Marketing Team the central Event Strategies team is core to build and strengthen our brand awareness and generates buyer demand by defining, standardizing, and managing event activities, tools, and assets for live and virtual HERE events and conferences.
In close collaboration with our Regional and Product Marketing teams, Sales, and Communication you will develop and maintain our event strategy: Bringing stakeholder and audience needs together and taking regional and industry specific needs into account.
The specific tasks for this role consist of:
- Oversee HERE’ owned global event series HERE Directions.
- Define and maintain the global event strategy, as an integral part of marketing campaigns and the overall marketing mix.
- Develop and manage a global program to provide event content, assets, and messaging for global and regional use.
- Define KPIs, ensure measurement, analysis, and reporting on insights, trends, success of event metrics.
- Lead and manage planning and execution of events including demand generating trade show appearances and company owned event formats.
- Budget planning and cost controlling.
- Agency and supplier management.
- Lead a high-performing small team of event enthusiasts who will manage end-to-end live and virtual events and support cross-functional teams to plan and implement HERE’s participation in global events to promote the HERE Brand, like CES, IAA.
- To support the planning and execution of our regional events, the central Event Strategies team defines and maintains modular and scalable event guidelines.
- The team provides executional support, assets, and know-how for the regions to help them achieve their business goals through events.
- The team provides logistics support for the HERE annual sales kick-off and other global internal events.
Who are you?:
To feel comfortable in this role y ou should be a strong project and process manager, experienced with multiple stakeholder management across hierarchies. We that it is crutial that you are experienced and passionate about events as an integral part of marketing and have managed your own team in order to be successful at HERE.

- A good understanding of, and experience in, the B2B tech industry
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences across all hierarchies.
- You are accustomed to working to a budget and within strict timelines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the interaction between marketing, sales and product teams and knowledge of HERE's end-to-end marketing processes
- Track record of success in managing complex event projects end-to-end and integrating them into successful brand awareness or lead generation campaigns.
- Ability to think strategically with tactical execution and proven ability to earn the trust and respect of cross-functional teams.
- Experienced and comfortable with working in a decentralized global organization in a strongly dynamic transformational phase
- Experienced in managing and building agency relationships.
- Successful track record in hiring, managing, and developing people as a team leader.
- Experience of integrating live and virtual event activities with other marketing channels and activities, e.g. social media, email nurture, partner marketing, co-marketing programs.
- Know-how and understanding of lead collection and management before, during and after an event.
- Must-have: knowledge about and experience in using project management tools such as Jira and WorkFront; event applications and management tools, e.g. SwapCard, 6connex, Cvent, PowerPoint, and CMS, e.g. Sales Force, Marketo, Integrate
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 12+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or related experience (10+ years ad a Masters, 8+ years and a PHD)
Nice to have: knowledge about or experience in working with survey tools like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey and content management tools, e.
