If so, come and join us! We see the exciting new role of Marketing Coordinator, UK will develop over time so that the postholder will become the regional subject matter expert representing the interests of the entire EMEA region to the SomaLogic global marketing facility headquartered in the US!
The post holder will initially be responsible for coordinating and organizing local events, event logistics, liaising with the regional team to obtain feedback, marketing communication and ultimately will have input into the design of regional collateral to support business growth in the critical EMEA region – becoming a pivotal business support role within a 12-month period.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with the regional sales directors to create a regional marketing plan/statement of needs to align with business objectives
- Taking the lead (with guidance from EMEA colleagues) to organise, manage, monitor and report back on the success of SomaLogic spend events
- Working towards a role of subject matter marketing expert for regional needs and relaying ensuing messaging to the US
- Work within the regional team to understand/interpret local needs, to ensure that expectations are being met and surpassed and support the sales team in developing customer relationships (through occasional support at trade shows for example)
- Creation of requisitions for funding of regional marketing activities, ownership and approval of these as necessary
- Continuously assess areas to showcase and present SomaLogic as a thought leader in industry. Advocate and work to support sales representatives to create external outreach engagements
- Collaborate with local distributors and certified test sites for co-marketing activities
- When necessary, coordinate translation of marketing and sales material into local languages.
Secondary Responsibilities:

- Ensure company branding policies and guidelines are communicated, understood and are being followed by internal and external stakeholders
- An ability to positively influence commercial growth and market awareness
- Have an ability to co-ordinate and leverage resources and capacity of a diverse/remote team to achieve results
- Assisting other team members in various marketing activities
- Analyse regional market trends and customer needs to identify new products/services that better positions SomaLogic as the leader within proteomics
- Participate in key Life Sciences initiatives (or corporate initiatives) as delegated and requested by the Head of Sales for the region
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction, engagement and stickiness with our customers
- Strong computer skills, with ability to learn new software and quickly become an expert
- An ability to work independently from a local or home office
Education and Experience:
- BSc. degree or equivalent preferred in a biological sciences or marketing focused subject
- 18+ months relevant job experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good presentation skills, organization, creativity and resourcefulness
- Ability to simplify and present complex information to a variety of audiences
- A want to learn
