Responsibilities
- Development of new cross-scale and multi-physical ("Multi-X") simulation solutions for the virtual development and optimization of materials, products and manufacturing processes
- Automation of simulation workflows
- "Hybrid modeling" by linking simulation and data-driven modeling using AI (e.g. machine learning)
- Development of responsive digital twins using AI-based metamodels
- Independent collaboration in development projects
Qualifications
- Preferably completed PhD in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical engineering, process engineering, technical physics, technical mathematics, electrical engineering and information technology or a comparable qualification
- Expertise in one or more of the fields mentioned: Flow simulation, multiphysics simulation, microstructure simulation, multiscale simulation
- In-depth experience in the use of common simulation software (e.g. Comsol, Ansys, Abaqus, GeoDict, Digimat) including open source applications.
- Experience in the use of AI methods such as machine learning (e.g. with Keras, TensorFlow).
- Advanced programming skills (preferably Python)
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
