Senior Product Portfolio Manager (all genders)

This is what you'll be doing
As Senior Product Portfolio Manager you are a vital and strategic part of the kurzgesagt product team. You are the driver of the success of the kurzgesagt product portfolio. You oversee the strategic planning and development of our products while defining production standards and leading our supplier network.
You have a business mindset, make data-driven decisions and love taking on challenges with a team of highly motivated experts.
- Manage, develop and improve the kurzgesagt product portfolio
- Define product roadmaps to combine company goals, customer needs and market trends
- Oversee product development, manufacturing and procurement and define quality standards while keeping an eye on cost efficiency and legal requirements
- Lead our supplier network and define supplier collaboration standards
- Lead team to meet KPIs and actively initiate measures to improve our product portfolio, manufacturing processes, and procurement strategy
- Work in close collaboration with our creative team to create the kurzgesagt products and portfolio strategy
- Consolidate data within the team to create a strong basis for data driven decisions
- Provide insights and help lead shop, sales & campaign strategies
- Lead, manage and empower a small team of experts
This is what you bring to the table
- Several years of experience in a leading role of production of physical goods with a strong focus on strategy and management
- Very good understanding of physical production processes preferable
- Very strong organizational skills
- Data-driven approach to decision-making; strong analytical skills
- Ability to lead a diverse team of topical experts
- Experienced handling external partners, suppliers and contractors
- Proactive, energetic, hands-on personality, who identifies with our brand and enjoys working with a motivated team
- Demonstrated proficiency in English, particularly for negotiations (C2 level)
- Authorized for unrestricted business travel to EU and US
- Living in Munich, or willing to relocate to Munich
