Junior Corporate Planning & Strategy Manager (m/f/d)

As Junior Corporate Planning & Strategy Manager (m/f/d) you will contribute to the success of Brenntag by supporting the development and execution of the Corporate and divisional strategies.
You will work on the evaluation and analysis of new business fields, core competencies, market potentials and trends. In close cooperation with the management, divisions, and corporate functions, you will support strategic projects and initiatives at Brenntag. Your responsibilities will also include top leadership communication and management of stakeholders.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluation and prioritization of strategies and business opportunities; incl. questioning of the status quo
• Support of corporate, portfolio and divisional strategy planning, monitoring and strategy implementation / execution
• Project management and business consulting - support, coordination, and execution of strategic, interdisciplinary, and global projects
• Conception and preparation of strategic decision documents
• Moderation and facilitation of workshops at management level
• Evaluation of strategic investments, and support of funding discussions
• Coordination, support, and optimization of the group wide strategy development process
• Market, industry, and competition intelligence
• Contributions to the development of new tools and methods for strategy development

YOUR PROFILE

• Master degree with chemistry focus supplemented by business sciences knowledge or MBA in economics with chemistry knowledge
• At least 4 years of professional experience at one of the leading management consultancies or within a corporate group; experience in chemical distribution will be advantageous
• Outstanding analytical & problem-solving skills, high capabilities of conceptual thinking and focused on getting things done
• Proven experience in strategy planning & execution, consultancy, project management and market & competition analysis
• Excellent communication and presentation skills at all hierarchical levels
• Know how on strategy tools & methods, evaluation of strategies and investments
• Enjoy working in an agile way in networked, diverse, and cross-regional teams
• Willing to travel internationally and to work abroad
• Fluent in English; verbal and written
