Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Beata Krehel (Project Director) in Mannheim and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.
You'll be the person the team turns to for momentum and to push projects forward. No two days are the same, but day-to-day, you’ll manage costing schedules, enable those around you to excel, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of delivering multiple lean projects, making sure they align with contractual requirements and customer expectations.
As a Project Manager you are accountable for timely, within budget and quality delivery of his/her project scope.
Define and execute project strategy in line with contract requirements, including elaboration and allocation of objectives to Stakeholders and Sub-Systems (planning, cost, quality, performance)
Lead project activities and stakeholders throughout all project phases to achieve successful delivery of product and services to customer and project close-out including:
- Proper transfer from tender to project
- Definition of project objectives and main deliverables (product/service performance, planning) to achieve customer satisfaction
- Execution of project and timely delivery of contractual milestones
- Management and reporting of Earned Value on project budget
We look to you for:
- Team leading, including Core Team and when applicable Project Managers of internal and external partners,
- Define in advance project core team staffing, as well as his/her WP resources,
- Escalate when project resources available do not match the project needs,
- Make sure that key project stakeholders are aligned towards project/ goals,
- Engage project teams in the successful achievement of project objectives and strengthen team spirit among them,
- Synchronize internal partners and arbitrate when necessary,
- Support the project teams in successful achievement of their tasks and deliverables,
- Alignment with contractual requirements and management of variation orders. Arbitration of Q,C,D,P re-baselining and change management at project level. Manage claim and litigations if needed
- Proactive risk, saving and opportunity management.
- Manage customer and external stakeholders’ relationship
- Continuously ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements
- Alstom representative towards Customers and when applicable external stakeholders
- Ensuring contract management and variation orders towards customer
All about you:
- 5 years experience of business or 3 years as as sub-system/component manager or qualified project manager or manager of an operational scope
- Experience of working in and with multi-national companies and in different business cultures
- German and English language skills
