Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:
Full Time (40 hours per week)

Organizes and leads CLO Orientation trips during the peak transition season.
Provides administrative support to the Community Liaison Office. The incumbent assists the Community Liaison Officer in developing and maintaining key contacts and managing information that benefits the morale and welfare of the entire mission. Supports the key areas of CLO responsibilities (Event Planning, Community Liaison, Welcome & Orientation, Guidance and Referral, Information & Resource Management, Education Liaison, Unaccompanied Tours support).
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years' administrative work experience is required.
One (1) year of event coordination experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Pre-Hire:
Must have In-depth knowledge of German history/culture/customs and U.S. and German education system.
A strong understanding or experience in travel and event planning; and developed contacts in local businesses and service communities.
Post-Hire:
Knowledge of the structure and purpose of the U.S. Mission in Germany.
Education Requirements:
Mandatory:
Two (2) years of college or University studies is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Mandatory:
English Level 4 - Fluent; written/spoken, including ability to translate.
German Level 4 - Fluent; written/spoken, including ability to translate.
This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Optional:
Pre-Hire:
Excellent communication (written and oral) skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multi-tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills in order to deal with a variety of Consulate personnel and delegations.
Must be proficient in the use of MS Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Publisher and Share Point.
Post-Hire:
Strong research skills in order to respond to inquiries from the Consulate community.
