ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Team Lead for SAP MM & IS-Retail, you will head a high-performing team of functional consultants focused on Zalando’s core supply chain. You will bridge the gap between e-commerce demands and robust SAP architecture, driving the strategy for Materials Management, Inventory Management, and Material Valuation. In our fast-paced environment, you ensure millions of articles are correctly tracked and valued as they move through our fulfillment network.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of SAP Functional Consultants, fostering a culture of continuous growth and psychological safety.
• Own the design and optimization of complex inventory processes and split valuations essential for our returns lifecycle.
• Drive the SAP MM and IS-Retail roadmap to ensure system stability during peak traffic events.
• Partner with Finance, Logistics, and Product teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Manage agile backlogs and prioritize sprints to deliver high-quality configurations.
• Navigate stakeholder expectations and align diverse business units on a unified technical roadmap.
• Handle critical system disruptions with transparent root-cause analyses and risk assessments.

YOUR PROFILE

• Proven track record in leading or guiding SAP professionals within an agile environment.
• Deep expertise in SAP MM (Purchasing, Inventory) and SAP IS-Retail (Article Master, Listing).
• Strong knowledge of Material Valuation and its integration with SAP FI/CO.
• Experience in high-volume data environments, ideally within e-commerce or fashion.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, cloud environments, and modern API integrations.
• Fluent English skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
