• Drive the evolution of thin-film technologies within a diverse team of specialists to meet next-generation industry standards.
• Utilize your deep analytical expertise and experimental techniques to decode the relationships between film design, manufacturing, and durability.
• Proactively identify and analyze potential damage mechanisms within thin films and at critical interfaces.
• Leverage a global network of partners to select the best analytical tools, integrating complex data into actionable insights.
• Serve as a strategic advisor for project management and production departments regarding film lifespan and technical tolerances.

Your Professional Profile

• A university degree in natural sciences or engineering (Master’s or Diploma), focusing on physics, chemistry, materials science, or nanotechnology.
• Extensive professional experience in layer, defect, or cleanliness analysis using methods such as TEM, TOF-SIMS, XRD, or XPS.
• Advanced knowledge in solid-state physics, reaction kinetics, or coating technology; familiarity with AFM or STM is highly valued.
• Initial experience or strong interest in data science, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs).
• A collaborative mindset combined with a curious, independent, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
• Professional fluency in both English and German.
