Location: Donauwörth

Start: Winter Semester 2021

Duration: 5-6 months (35 hours/week, flexi-time)

The laboratory for materials and processes (LMP) is supporting the engineering and production divisions at the main points of helicopter life time cycle, beginning with the research and development of new materials, to testing and qualification till repairing solutions and environmental aspect. Within the LMP, the department "Systems" and the subdomain " Functional Surfaces" are responsible for the development and qualification of new materials and processes, such as paints.

Your exciting tasks:

• investigation on paints in the frame of qualification programs
• autonomous work in laboratory (e.g. sample manufacturing, mechanical testing, microscopy evaluations or documentation of test results)
• support to qualifications of processes in the frame of the replacement of hazardous substances (REACh regulation)

Your qualifications:

• enrolled student (d/f/m) within material science or a similar field of study
• theoretical/practical background in materials and/or in surface technology
• good knowledge in MS Office
• pragmatic and lab-oriented working behaviour
• team spirit, self-organized and autonomous way of working
• fluent in German and English (mandatory)
