We are looking for a

Business Analyst IT with Software Engineering skills - (m/f/d)

We develop payment products that help our merchants and partners to grow and scale their business and at the same time provide the consumers with flexible and easy financial services that they can rely on.

Our Customer Risk unit collaborates closely with business units and product development teams to minimize default risk and prevent fraud in our payment products.

This is made possible by our risk decision platform that employs innovative fraud prevention and retail customer risk assessment techniques and leverages various data sources to evaluate transaction-related risk decisions within tenths of a second.

Key responsibilities and main tasks

• You conduct all relevant business analysis activities from conceptualizing new features with stakeholders over technical solution design to specifying acceptance criteria and final acceptance testing
• You build up a strong understanding of the customer risk and fraud domain for our BNPL and recurring payments businesses, and leverage that to drive major business and product development initiatives
• You develop decision workflows and business logic on the workflow engine that forms the core of our risk decision platform in the area of e-commerce and payments
• You integrate third-party APIs and machine learning models
• You closely collaborate with product managers/owners, subject matter experts and tech teams in an agile, cross-functional and international environment
• You analyze product requirements, break them down into epics and user stories and produce high quality documentation for the developed solutions
• You support quality assurance, test automation and release management

Skills and qualifications

• You have at least 3 years of professional experience in business analysis and software engineering, in particular in the area of e-commerce and payments
• You have a strong sense of ownership and motivation to drive innovation and change in a fast-paced environment
• You bring excellent programming skills in JavaScript, profound knowledge of C# is a plus
• You have experience in integrating services through APIs, such as JSON REST and a good unterstanding of modern cloud infrastructures
• You are familiar with agile software development practices and processes
• You have knowledge of data analysis with SQL and/or Python
• You have strong analytical skills and a proactive and solution-oriented approach as well as good communication and stakeholder management skills
• You are fluent in English as the main working language
