About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are actively recruiting a Manager, Europe Hotel Learning. The main purpose of this role is to manage the learning, training and development offering for managed and franchised hotels across the North and East Europe Division.
This will align with IHG EMEAA learning and development standards and the Europe regional business strategy to enable colleagues’ development, the acceleration of current and future leader’s development and the enhancement of required organisational capabilities and skills development. This role will act as the division’s process owner for learning and development policies and all training delivery under the guidance and leadership of the Europe Learning and Development COE, tailoring regionally as appropriate to deliver the right type and right level of service.
This role will partner with hotel General Managers, Hotel HRBPs and/or Hotel L&D Leaders to consult on their specific hotel operations and brand learning and development requirements. It will deliver learning and development solutions through the Hotel-Based Learning and Development community and approved third party providers that are cost effective and that deliver appropriate business metrics and development initiatives.
Focused on Hotel Learning and Development solutions for Europe, this role supports the sustainability and success of the EMEAA Learning and Development offering. It will also contribute to the wider EMEAA Learning and Development COE through working with other EMEAA Learning and Development leaders and regional peers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the implementation of brand initiatives support the delivery of hotel brand service culture.
- Assess competency required within hotel portfolio to deliver the Unique Guest Experience and recommend solutions as appropriate.
- Partner with Senior Leaders, Hotel HRBP’s and Hotel L&D Leaders to ensure the branded behaviours are embedded.
- Align with Marketing and Quality & Continuous Improvement to measure impact of solutions recommended.
- Support the learning requirements associated with the Future Leaders program for Europe in partnership with the HRBP in hotels.
- Partner with Hotel HRBP and L&D Leaders in activities relating to IHG Academy partnerships
- Demonstrate knowledge of OHS policies and procedures
- Ensure the delivery of L&D initiatives match the diverse audiences, brands and delivery methods to create value for hotels, owners and IHG.
- Support Hotel L&D leaders in the use and understanding of the IHG tools to deliver on our People Strategy.
- Partner with the Hotel HRBP and L&D Leader on identifying development solutions required and deliver aligned IHG programs within the Europe division through direct delivery and/or delivery by third party provider.
- Focus on and continually develop the capability of our hotel-based L&D colleagues
- Provide partnership and consulting services to the hotel HR Business partners, L&D Leaders and/or General Managers to assist in preparation of learning and development budget necessary to achieve organisational and IHG strategy within division.
- Manage external training providers and agreements across the division to ensure relevant, cost efficient learning and development solutions are available to the hotels, both managed and franchised, on a user pay basis where required
- Responsible to ensure hotel L&D Leaders are delivering on agreed SLA’s and taking corrective action as required.
