Your tasks

Join our Green Packaging Team in the Innovation & Strategy Department at the Headquarters of Deutsche Post DHL Group in Bonn, Germany.
We work at the interface of strategy development and operations. We have a clear sustainability focus and drive the implementation of our Mission 2050 – “Zero Emissions” to reduce our environmental footprint and reach the Paris goals. We generate and evaluate ideas, screen the market for innovations, prepare analyses, identify and pilot solutions. Together with the Group’s divisions we develop green packaging solutions and lead the way towards sustainable logistics. We work on the deployment of new technologies as well as on new products in order to burn less and burn clean while providing the best service to our customers.

Our work has a strategic dimension, for example defining and developing a common understanding what a “green” packaging actually is. At the same time we are closely involved in concrete pilots and the implementation of packaging innovations in our operations, such as circular solutions that eliminate plastic pallet wrap.

Your profile

• Enrolled in a Master’s program or intending to do so (gap year)
• Understanding of and interest in green packaging
• Fluent in German and English
• Experience in (internal) communications and/or project management
• Practical experience, ideally at a large organization
• General understanding of the relevance / drivers of sustainability for logistics
• Highly motivated team player with structured, solution-oriented and businesslike working style
• Ability to combine strategic thinking and concrete implementation and action
• High degree of self-motivation and independence
• Very good command of MS Powerpoint and Excel
