THE TEAM
You will join our Development team, responsible for designing, producing, and maintaining our autonomous mobile robots - arculees. You will be a part of a cross-functional, agile, international, and distributed workforce, creating the best possible experience for our users.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support in setting up and maintaining a 3D physical simulation environment for localization and perception use cases with Gazebo.
Improve the developer experience using the simulation environment.
Importing 3D models into our simulation environment
Writing plugins for customizing the dynamic behaviour of our 3D models
You would be learning to work with modern tools like ROS2, Gazebo with C++ and Python
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in Bachelors/Masters program with a German university.
Studying Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics or similar fields.
Available to stay with us for at least a semester
Experience developing code with C++/Python
Fluent in written and spoken English.
NICE TO HAVE
Previous Internship or Working Student experience
Basic understanding of XML
Basic understanding of docker
Experience working with 3D model files like STL/COLLADA
