Our client is the national electricity transmission system operator of the Netherlands, headquartered in Arnhem. Controlled and owned by the Dutch government, it is responsible for overseeing the operation of the 380 and 220 kV high-voltage grid throughout the Netherlands and its interconnections with neighboring countries. It is additionally responsible for the 150 kV grid in South Holland.

In Germany, its subsidiary is one of the four transmission system operators. As of 2006, it operates 3,286 km of lines and cables at 150 kV and above, connecting at 51 high-voltage substations. Peak demand for 2006 was 14,846 MW.

60% Home Office, 10 – 20% Travel (short trips)

Job description:

• As a Specialist Marine Operations (m/f/d) you are responsible for the safe operation of vessels around all our Offshore Grid Connection Systems
• Your core task is the back office coordination of nautical operations and (special) requirements for the TenneT offshore grid connection systems
• You will assess the vessels from a maritime point of view, including the careful inspection and audit of vessels
• In the context of document management it will be your task to define as well as to continuously improve the operational documents and procedures
• You will be the interface between Marine Operations GER and operations, projects, authorities, service providers, windfarms, internal stakeholders and other involved parties
• Together with the team you are responsible for contributing to tendering procedures, contracts and strategies

Requirements:

• This position requires a relevant university degree in Nautical Sciences and an academic working and thinking level. Alternatively you have a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in the maritime or offshore environment as well as in-depth knowledge on assessing vessels with regards to industry standards (e.g. IMCA, CMID inspector) is required
• You are a communicative team player who works structured and independently at the same time
• Your skills in the German and English language are on a high level
• A class B driving licence and a willingness to travel round off your profile
