In supply chain management, we plan, control and optimize a material flow of over 3 million tons annually from supplier to customer. We are an international team of planners, analysts and creative minds who face the challenges of a global supply chain every day.

To support our Group SCM department at the Hamburg site we are looking for you, as

Forecasting Specialist (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• You will be responsible to manage the group wide stock levels in terms of value, material and metals.
• You will be also responsible for standardizing processes related to inventory management and improving the inventory levels.
• You will actively and constantly manage the inventory levels in order to identify deviations from plan and initiate corrective action.
• In addition, you will be responsible for the framework of the annual MTP planning process to align and set target and budgeted inventory levels.
• You will support P&OP and S&OP related projects.
• You will create decision support reports related to material flow and stocks for senior management.
• You will drive the further implementation of the APS (Aurubis Planning System) system, i.e. the FSM module and the further improvement of financial stock data and development of mathematical forecasting models.
• You will establish stock management policies and procedures.
• You will prepare regular reports on stock status, inventory turnover, and forecasting accuracy.

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree or a comparable apprenticeship with a focus on economics.
• You have initial relevant professional experience in a comparable function.
• You have sound knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory optimization techniques, and demand planning and forecasting methodologies.
• You have basic knowledge in project management and in the administration or maintenance of databases.
• You are proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Your English and German is very good in spoken and written.
• You work reliably, with attention to detail and independently.
• An analytical and conceptual mindset as well as excellent problem-solving skills are among your strengths.
• Your profile is rounded off by a high willingness to learn.
