Are you ready to lead high-impact logistics projects across EMEA? Amazon Global Engineering Services (GES) is looking for a driven PreConstruction Manager to join our Design and Construction team in Berlin. In this role, you will shape the future of the construction industry by delivering innovative, scalable, and sustainable building solutions that meet our customers' evolving needs.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international environment, traveling approximately 50% of the time to various sites. You will be part of a diverse team of experts dedicated to safety, people, and excellence in engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional industrial projects from site selection through to design completion and permitting.
• Drive timely decision-making and clear project blockers to maintain momentum.
• Manage professional service providers and ensure project alignment with Amazon’s high standards.
• Conduct pricing reviews, negotiate costs with contractors and developers, and oversee budget forecasting.
• Implement and supervise Amazon’s rigorous safety programs and sustainability standards.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
• Proven experience as an Engineer, Architect, or Construction Manager within commercial development.
• Strong track record in project management, including design phases and contract negotiations.
• Fluency in English is essential for this international role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-disciplinary designs involving industrial automation or robotics.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and sustainable building technologies.
• Demonstrated success in communicating with senior management and public officials.
