The Role and Responsibilities
As a First Officer, you are an integral part of the flight deck team. You will support the Captain in maintaining the highest levels of safety and efficiency. Your key duties include:
- Assisting in all phases of flight preparation and navigation according to regulatory standards.
- Monitoring aircraft position, weather, and terrain independently to ensure safe operations.
- Providing proactive communication and support for effective decision-making.
- Representing the airline with professionalism and maintaining impeccable standards of conduct.
- Preparing for future command by developing leadership skills within the cockpit.
Requirements for Success
To qualify for this role, you should meet one of the following flight hour criteria along with general eligibility requirements:
Criteria A
- At least 2,000 total flying hours.
- 1,500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit MPA.
- 500 hours specifically on type.
Criteria B
- Minimum of 1,500 total flying hours.
- At least 1,000 hours on any A320 family aircraft.
General Eligibility
- Recent experience on the A320 family within the last 12 months.
- A valid A320 type rating and an unrestricted ATPL (or frozen ATPL with exam results).
- Current Class 1 medical certificate.
- Fluency in English (ICAO Level 4 or higher).
- Maximum age of 50 at the time of joining.
