The departments Mechatronic Technologies and Technology Integration are parts of the Base Development Technology of the Vitesco Engineering.

Many different parts for electrification products (e.g. Inverter, Converter, Charger, HV Box, 48V System) are developed there. The main task of the internship is to support engineering projects focusing different groups of materials (polymers, metals, composites), development of connection technology and manufacturing processes. Despite that you are part of the innovation team to help realization of customer projects.

Your Mission:

• ️Evaluation of different connection technologies (e.g. soldering, welding, bonding) by using metallography and optical documentation

• ️Determination of material characteristics by for example electrical, mechanical and thermal analysis

• ️Analyzing qualification parts (Preparation of the analysis plan, execution, documentation, evaluation, and presentation of the results)

• ️Non-destructive tests (leakage, measurements according to standards, torque measurements, thermography…)

• ️Destructive tests of mechatronic units including documentation

• ️ Documentation using optical and digital microscopy or scanning electron microscopy

• ️ Preparation of results in technical reports or presentations

Your talents:

• ️Studies of material science, mechatronic, process technology mechanical engineering or comparable

• ️Basic knowledge of metallography

• ️Confident handling of MS-Office programs

• ️Fluent German and very good English language

• ️A quick understanding, independence, team spirit and motivation complete your profile!

Currently, only mandatory internships are possible at the Nuremberg location.
