Functional area: Procurement
You will be working as a Global Category Manager in the Offshore Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Procurement Department. The appropriate candidate will primarily negotiate Service and Maintenance Agreements (SMA) and Operational Support Agreements (OSA) for wind turbines, there will also be a requirement to support the Department with related procurement activities. Procurement support is required for the offshore operations Design & Implementation (D&I) team and Operations team, ensuring compliance with RWE governance/policies.
Your future:
- Tendering and negotiating of large and complex Service and Maintenance Agreements (SMA) for wind turbine generators, in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Tendering and negotiating of large and complex Operational Support Agreements (OSA) for wind turbine generators, in multidisciplinary and international teams
- Development, implementation and management of purchasing strategies for SMAs/ OSAs for our development sites
- Tendering and negotiating fleet and site-specific contracts on behalf of the Operations team for RWE’s operating wind farms
- Implementation of an active supplier relationship management with the service providers
- Development and implementation of active stakeholder management with colleagues from the development and operations teams
- Track key performance indicators and the performance of suppliers under individual Contracts
- Develop and maintain appropriate procurement and project records
- Provide general commercial support to the team
- Assist with the building of management information and reporting structures both Project specific and Procurement general performance
- Understand and apply contract terms and conditions
- Advise and support the team on appropriate procurement methods/strategies and identify supply chain risks
Any other procurement-related tasks
Your profile:
- Several years of relevant experience in the management and processing of large and complex tenders for wind/industry or infrastructure projects (Capex / Opex)
- Extensive experience in identifying and assessing commercial contractual risks and developing strategies for risk prevention or control
- Completed studies in engineering or economics successfully, additional legal qualification advantageous
- Ability to oversee multiple contract packages and stakeholders and to support multidisciplinary teams
- Intercultural understanding and experience in working with different cultures
- Good communication skills (spoken and written) in English, other languages advantageous (e.g. German)
- Willingness to travel as well as the willingness to stay abroad temporarily to support our international projects
- Willingness to work on projects that are outside of a European time zone
We have offices in Essen and Hamburg, with the flexibility to work from home. There will be a requirement to work from our offices at certain times when supporting projects, and attending events and meetings.
