The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the American Services Unit (ASU) of the Human Resources Office, Embassy Berlin provides comprehensive customer service to US Direct Hire (USDH) employees (State Department and other Agencies) and their family members from pre-arrival to the employees' departure. Incumbent is supervised by the ASU Supervisor and is reviewed by the Senior Human Resources Officer.
EXPERIENCE: please address this factor in your ERA application under major duties and responsibilities.
At least three years’ experience as a clerk/secretary/office manager in a customer service business environment is required.
Completion of Secondary School is required.
LANGUAGE: please address both language requirements in your ERA application.
Position requires fluent language skills in English (speaking/reading/writing).
Position requires fluent language skills in German (speaking/reading/writing).
This may be tested.
