Who You'll Work With

You will be collaborating with McKinsey’s Operations practice in one of our European offices.

Our Operations Practice supports clients in overcoming intricate operational hurdles. By combining strategic thinking with practical application, our teams of consultants and specialists create and implement operational strategies to resolve our clients' most pressing issues.

We assist clients in addressing challenges in areas such as lean manufacturing, lean services, change transformations, product development, purchasing, supply chain management, and capital productivity. Our teams integrate comprehensive business acumen, inherent in all McKinsey disciplines, with hands-on operations expertise across diverse global industries.

What You'll Do

You will actively contribute to client problem-solving, including identifying issues, formulating hypotheses, conducting analyses, and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations.

We consider the fellow intern position as the starting point for a rewarding, challenging, and highly flexible career within McKinsey and the Operations practice. During your 8-12 week internship, you will function as a junior consultant on client engagements, collaborating with colleagues and clients across various industry and operations service lines. You will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to help companies achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with excellent academic record; in process of obtaining a master's degree
Initial experience in working on an operational topic (e.g. product development, supply chain, purchasing, lean services, manufacturing, etc.)
Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Mobility and enthusiasm for taking on longer, international assignments
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and local office language
