Senior Director Nature Based Solutions

Your tasks

Team Management (Team of approx. 25 people)
Responsibility for annual division budget and monitoring of deadlines
Participate in business strategy to improve and deliver highest quality consulting services and products
Growing new service lines/possibly developing new methodologies in Natural Climate Solutions
Strategic support to structure the project pipeline and to cover the client’s demand of carbon credits
Support in project proposals/providing technical feedback
Drive new joint ventures in Africa / South East Asia and strengthen the business in Latin America
Represent FL in different forums and corporate events
Gathering intelligence about market trends, relevant regulation and policies
Responsibility for short-, mid- and long-term Carbon Inventory management
Develop a portfolio of carbon forestry project

Your profile

University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture or related field
Background in the “investment world”
At least 10 years of experience in managing international teams
At least 8 years of professional experience in sustainable land use and carbon markets
Proven experience of simultaneous management of different projects in an international team
Experience in the preparation of business and financial plans for natural carbon projects or similar (e.g. renewable energy)
Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish or French, additional languages are an advantage
Willingness to travel
Professional experience in Latin America, Africa or South-East Asia is an advantage
