What is a Solution Engineer?

Your role as a Senior Solution Engineer
The Solution Engineering team is organized into several industry and specialist teams based on industry they are selling into, in this case we are looking for a Solution Engineer in our Financial Services team.
A typical day of a Solution Consultant consists of the following:
- Liaise with your sales counterpart “on eye level” to develop new/existing business or account strategy.
- Lead discovery sessions with your customers to understand/identify pain points as a basis to build an innovative solution based on the Salesforce technology stack.
- Clearly articulate the benefits of Salesforce to customers at all levels, examples include; Administration/IT Staff, managers, "C" level executives or board members.
- Create memorable positive experiences for your customers, using empathy, story telling, immersive demo techniques, etc.
- Leverage your technicals skills to build innovative art of the possible demo solutions and establish a trusted relationship to the technical stakeholders on customer side.
- Orchestrate an extended Solution Consulting team while building e.g. Multi-Cloud solutions for the customer.
- Use your business knowledge to identify challenges and trends and develop tailored Salesforce value propositions
- Represent Salesforce during Marketing or Partner Events (e.g. Industry demos, industry specific discussions/use cases).
- Have a strong interest in growing your career and participating in our internal training programs and mentorship initiatives.
- Support the first line manager in coordination resources and administrative tasks like forecast calls or planning sessions
