Abbott Core Diagnostics Division (Abbott GmbH) is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Balance Sheet EMEA(m/f/d) based in Wiesbaden.

• Provides senior financial counsel and support to Europe Controller for the Balance Sheet. Prepares in depth analysis to support overall business decision. Ensures proper Month End close and Area Consolidation.

Major Accountabilities

• Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.
• Responsible for local month end close retained activities (not outsourced to Corporate Financial Services group) including system processes, submissions, accruals.
• Perform Planning, Reporting and Analysis process for the Balance Sheet activities and ensure proper consolidation for Europe Area.
• Support financial IBP process for demand planning, receivables and inventory.
• Ensure professional support for cross Division shared service responsibilities. This includes support for EEMEAP Region for parts of the balance sheet.
• Provide in depth financial analysis when requested by key stakeholders. Generate and communicate insights and propose solutions and actions based on the analysis conducted.
• Support implementation of process improvements across department and work groups.
• Assist with training and coaching of more junior finance staff.
• Participate in various financial projects and provide information for management for decision making.
• Ensure compliance with Abbott policies and procedures.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance/ Accounting.

• 3-5 years’ experience in Commercial Finance function, ADD preferred.
• Strong business partner attitude to support the Commercial business groups.
• High result and process orientation.
• Adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Set priorities and organize work to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communications skills both verbal and written.
• Customer oriented mindset.
• Advanced MS Office knowledge. Strong database skills (e.g. Cognos, Access) preferred.
• Fluent in English, local languages are of advantage.
• Strong team player.
