Your day starts with dedicated focus time to plan your agenda.
Then, prepare for client meetings by collaborating with internal colleagues. As a key figure in HVDC plant design, coordinate engineering, procurement, commissioning, and logistics for optimal, cost-effective solutions. Engage in Microsoft Teams calls to refine layout concepts with the interdisciplinary team.
Present solutions to customers in face-to-face meetings, addressing technical questions and change requests.
Meet internally to define next steps, coordinating the engineering team and stakeholders to ensure timely design updates.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Oversee plant design for HVDC systems, meeting customer specs, standards, and EHS requirements.
- Lead a global team of engineers in plant design, primary engineering, acoustics, and seismic considerations.
- Coordinate engineering disciplines in the 3D design process for integrated, timely, quality designs.
- Align project objectives with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to management.
What You Bring
- Extensive experience in the energy sector, ideally with AC substations, HVDC, or FACTS systems.
- Proven project management skills and a strong understanding of methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional leadership to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent English and German communication skills to convey complex information.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple topics and prioritize tasks.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

We form a central function in the design process and are continuously in discussion with all interface partners. In addition to the project business, we are heavily involved in the digitalization of our engineering processes and develop solutions to simplify and automate routine work. As part of the team, you are the driver of our Digital Readiness project, with which we want to make the vision of the Art of Engineering a reality.
