The M/SX-P (Strategy, Project Portfolio Management) office is part of the Strategy department and responsible for the global project portfolio management (GPPM) at Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG (MBM).
GPPM is MBM’s framework for combining the standardized approval and management of products and projects for the whole organization throughout the world. The purpose of GPPM is to support the transformation of the company by:

• C reating continuous transparency on the execution progress of projects/products
• E nsuring a strategy based and value-oriented investment approach, which is based on a globally unified project/product decision-making process with standardized evaluation criteria
• I mplementing a globally unified framework, which guarantees a comparability of project/product activities, spent budget and gained value of all waterfall and agile project and product developments

We are responsible for demand management and project governance of all projects and product developments (both waterfall and agile) coming from HQ (headquarter), and entities within regions AAP and EUR, having a significant impact on the entire organization. Open communication and feedback on all hierarchy levels is part of our culture and mindset and has allowed our team to grow as a unit together.

The following challenges and opportunities await you:

• Actively participate in assessment, analysis and preparation of project/product demands in collaboration with functions, regional and market counterparts worldwide for seeking a decision by a decision board
• Create approval presentations towards decision boards and communicate decisions to all relevant stakeholders and organization of decision board meetings
• Conduct regular touchpoints with projects and be a partner to projects during their project lifecycle
• Ensure continuous monthly project transparency within myProjects tool and towards decision boards
• Support of procedural changes and improvements
• Organization and participation in regular and ad hoc meetings with different colleagues worldwide
• Work in close collaboration with colleagues from Headquarters, regional counterparts and market portfolio managers, Finance & Controlling, IT, Digital Solution Centers, Insurance etc.

• Studies in the field of economics, business informatics, engineering or a comparable course
• Very good communication skills and proficiency in English and German
• Experiences with MS-Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• First experience in dealing with JIRA, Power BI is an advantage
• Commitment and teamwork
• Analytical way of thinking and strategic way of working
• Ability and affinity to connect to people from different cultural backgrounds and work jointly as an international team
