📋 Customs & Trade Manager Luxury – Global Trade Compliance & Process Excellence bei Beiersdorf Aktiengesellschaft in Hamburg

Your Tasks

Beiersdorf's Corporate Customs & Trade team ensures compliant, efficient cross-border operations worldwide. To elevate our Luxury portfolio, we are seeking a dedicated Customs & Trade Manager who will serve as the key business partner for LaPrairie and Chantecaille – driving the seamless integration of customs and trade processes into our global operating model.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with our Luxury brands on international trade, cross-border activities, and strategic initiatives from a compliance perspective.
• Guarantee adherence to international, EU, and national customs, export control, and trade regulations – including sanctions and embargoes.
• Evaluate new business models, supply chain structures, and distribution channels for customs and trade implications, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead the harmonization and continuous improvement of customs and trade processes, controls, and governance across the Luxury business in alignment with global Beiersdorf standards.
• Integrate Luxury entities, systems, and operating models into Beiersdorf's global Customs & Trade framework.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure compliant and efficient trade flows.
• Define and implement customs and trade requirements in business processes, IT systems, and master data structures – including SAP GTS.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate legal requirements into practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Deliver training and advisory support to internal stakeholders, promoting customs and trade awareness organization-wide.
• Manage and support customs and trade-related projects at global and regional level.

Your Profile

• University degree in Customs, International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in customs, international trade, export control, or global trade compliance – in an international corporate, consulting, or public sector setting.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and supply chain processes – ideally with exposure to luxury, consumer goods, or FMCG.
• Experience in process harmonization, transformation projects, and cross-functional project management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex topics in an international environment.
• Experience with SAP, ideally SAP GTS.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus.
