What to Expect

Tesla’s Power Electronics group is looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support with the design and development of Power Electronics converter hardware intended to be used in Tesla energy products.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with the team to design and build hardware of power electronics converters for use in automotive and energy storage applications.
Participate in all aspects of hardware development – from specification to design, prototype, reliability validation and high-volume manufacturing.
Cooperate closely with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineering teams to successfully to design, validate and manufacture power converters.
Support with the architecture and modeling of new power converter topologies that achieve better performance.

What You’ll Bring

Ongoing studies in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or similar field
Reliable and Independent working mindset
First experience with power converters as well as PCB layouts
Enthusiasm for new technologies and technical possibilities
Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss any issues with a wide variety of individuals and groups
Analytical mindset, hands on approach and problem-solving oriented
Fluency in English
Previous internship and/or project experience is a plus
