At Birkenstock Digital GmbH, we are on a data-driven journey, and we're looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to join our Analytics team in Munich. If you're passionate about data, have a talent for translating insights into action, and excel in managing diverse projects, we invite you to shape our reporting and analytics landscape! As a BI Specialist, you will be a vital part of our journey, responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, enhancing our reporting capabilities, and managing our digital data warehousing solutions.
YOUR SHOES TO FILL:
- You translate business requirements into visually appealing and effective Tableau dashboards, optimize SQL queries for seamless data extraction, and maintain robust data models for unwavering accuracy.
- Define functional requirements for an aligned data model, particularly with an e-commerce focus, collect, and analyze data from various sources, and create ETL processes for data transformation and storage in warehouses.
- You'll also be responsible for upholding data quality, security, and compliance with governance policies.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to align BI with strategic goals and provide user training and support for effective tool usage.
- Stay updated on BI trends and tech, and maintain documentation for knowledge sharing, ensuring our BI processes and models remain transparent.
YOUR WALK OF LIFE:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Informatics) or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
- Proven experience in BI and ETL processes – experience in data warehousing is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and optimizing data schemas and models, delivering effective data visualizations and insights, especially in the eCommerce or multichannel context.
- Excellent communication skills to work with international and cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging BI technologies
