Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant South America.
- Checking, processing and posting statements of account including assuring completion
- Claims processing including sanction screening and consultation with claims specialists
- Quarterly closing work
- Processing incoming and outgoing payments
- Initiating the creation of new bank details
- Correspondence with internal interfaces and external customers
- Participation in working groups and projects
- Maintain quality and consistency of process standards and operational controls
- Degree in business administration and/or comparable training
- Initial experience in accounting (e.g. from the areas of insurance, banking, taxes)
- Basic understanding of different accounting principles, e.g. HGB and IFRS of advantage
- Basic understanding of obligatory and facultative reinsurance contractual forms of advantage
- German, Spanish and English at a conversational level
- SAP skills of advantage
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Affinity for IT topics and willingness to familiarize with various IT technologies
- Very good numerical reasoning and capacity for analytical thinking
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent organisational skills
- An assured and service-minded approach to internal and external customers
