Join us as the Team Lead for External Reinsurance Accounting, where you'll manage a team responsible for policy/treaty administration, technical accounting, reconciliation, and settlement processes for Corporate Solutions' outwards reinsurance contracts. Your leadership will drive process efficiency and support the implementation of our new Outwards Reinsurance Platform.
About the Role
The role will interact with several key stakeholders, including Corporate Solutions Finance teams, CFOs, Actuaries, Risk Management, Auditors, Capital Management and other (Finance) functions.
As we continually strive to improve on what we do, the role is expected to always look for, and implement measures to increase process efficiency. It will also play a key part in supporting the global implementation of the new Outwards Reinsurance Platform (ORP).
About the Team
The External Reinsurance Team owns the administration of global External Reinsurance portfolio of Corporate Solutions. We are part of the Finance Corporate Solutions team under International Financial Management (IFM) & Reinsurance. Our team reviews inwards transactions and identifies, calculates, books, reports and collects the reinsurance asset. We work extensively with our external reinsurers and brokers to substantiate our claims and to build productive relationships. We are involved in setting up new contracts as well as working on some International transactions and are heavily involved in the financial reporting for the CorSo retro asset.
About You - Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar,
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a role relevant to Accounting,
- Trained accountant, preferably with working experience in insurance industry
- Experience in working in a large multi-national environment,
- Previous exposure to insurance or reinsurance is an advantage,
- Independent and proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills,
- Ability to understand and adapt fast to complex work-flows and systems,
- Ability to set priorities and keep set deadlines,
- As this is a senior role, the candidate is expected to be able to work independently and proactively, while maintaining good working relationship with other team members and key stakeholders,
- Ability to fluently communicate in English (C1 minimum) is a must.
