We are excited to announce we are now looking to hire a Global Operations Director into our thriving Group Professional Services (GPS) organisation within Computacenter.

Group Professional Services will encompass the Consultancy Practice in the UK, France and Germany together with the Project Practices across the UK, France, and Germany and Engineering in the UK, France and Germany. The role will also have dotted line responsibility for India, North America, Rest of World Countries and other Professional Services operations and additionally lead Partner and Resource Operations. We are made up of over 4,200 skilled practitioners with deep expertise across core infrastructure technologies and industry standard architecture and project management methodologies.

This is a critical hire for us, you will be driving the vision, strategy and the roadmap that will ensure Computacenter’s operational success whilst partnering with the GPS Business Solutions Director to ensure the continual growth and development of our professional services organisation. The role will be reporting into the GPS Managing Director and therefore will have a significant platform to grow the organisation, operating at a very senior and strategic level.

What you’ll do

• Develop and implement an international professional services operations strategy aligned with the overall business objectives. Identify and prioritise key initiatives to enhance service delivery, revenue growth, and customer success.
• Create vision and purpose which is clearly communicated and embedded in the GPS organisation.
• Collaborate and foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders, including Sales, Service Management Strategy, Finance, HR, and Business Development, to establish operational plans, budgets, and performance targets. Define metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve operational efficiency.
• Lead the evaluation and streamlining of professional services processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for automation, standardisation, and improvement to optimise resource allocation, project management, and service delivery.
• Lead the resource planning and management function to ensure optimal utilisation of professional services staff. Collaborate with regional and functional leaders to ensure appropriate capacity and staffing levels, skills development, and talent acquisition to meet business demands.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, including project delivery risks, resource constraints, and regulatory compliance. Implement appropriate controls, policies, and procedures to minimise risk exposure and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Manage partner outsourced operations & optimise the balance of internal/ external talent & resources to demand pipeline.
