What to Expect

Tesla Finance Team’s mission is to improve the company operationally and financially by working with operations to control costs and improve processes. The Team, in its infancy, is currently focused on setting up strong, sustainable processes to support the growth of Giga Berlin. In our next stage, we will develop with the business, ensuring sustainable growth and rising to scaling challenges, becoming a globally recognised finance team. We are looking for a Lease Specialist who is a strong and enthusiastic addition to our exciting, dynamic and international team; capable of working independently and collectively in an environment that offers creative freedom. What You’ll Do

Evaluate the accounting impact of new, amended and terminated leases.
Work with cross functional teams (i.e. Lease admin team, operation teams, FP&A and others) and assist in special projects as needed.
Prepare initial lease assessment for new leases (Finance/Operating)
Build visualization reporting and analysis – improve efficiency and presentation of data retrieved from internal systems.
Create and develop standardized models and processes for scaling business needs and data flows.
Keep it simple – ensure, where possible, improvements can be rolled out quickly with minimal effort for the business.
Achieving real time monthly closing without compromising accounting quality and accuracy.
Be the main point of contact for internal and external auditors in all things lease related

What You’ll Bring

Combined experience of public accounting and industry experience
Academic degree in Finance / Accounting or comparable experience
Proficient in Lease Accounting (ASC 842), US GAAP and Local GAAP
Strong understanding of internal controls, including SOX
Excellent communication skills in English, German a bonus
Hands-on mentality and willing to get your hands dirty
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks whilst under pressure
