About UsHII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Training SME to support the United States Air Forces Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). In this role, you will deliver critical training in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Force Protection, enhancing CBRNE readiness training throughout the European theater. As a CBRN Program Analyst, you will support USAFE-AFAFRICA staff in managing MAJCOM and Installation Emergency Management Programs. You will plan, train, and educate personnel on preparing for, preventing, responding to, and recovering from various threat events, including major accidents, natural disasters, weapons of mass destruction, and CBRNE attacks. This pivotal role at Huntington Ingalls Industries will directly contribute to enhancing the training and preparedness of the U.S. Air Force in Europe, strengthening regional defense and security.
Responsibilities- Leverage your CBRN defense and instructional design expertise to develop comprehensive training programs for USAFE-AFAFRICA personnel. Ensure training materials align with Air Force 3E971 standards and address evolving CBRN threats.
- Lead CBRN training sessions, providing classroom instruction, hands-on training, and simulations. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of CBRN response, protection, and detection techniques.
- Develop and maintain disaster and emergency planning and management plans, policies, and procedures, offering expert advice and recommendations on all aspects of emergency planning and management at tactical and strategic levels.
- Continuously evaluate and update training curricula to reflect the latest CBRN threats, best practices, and technological advancements. Collaborate with instructional designers to enhance training materials.
- Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate trainees' CBRN response proficiency. Provide constructive feedback and adjust training as needed to improve outcomes.
- Stay informed about U.S. defense regulations, Air Force policies, and international CBRN defense standards. Ensure training programs comply with all regulations and support USAFE-AFAFRICA efforts to obtain necessary approvals.
Required Qualifications- 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 4 years with a Master's degree; or a High School Diploma/equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Graduation from the U.S. Air Force 3E971 military training course (7-Level "Craftsman") with 5 years of instructor experience, or Army MOS 74A, 740A, or 74D with Army Technical Escort (L3) and 3 years of instructor experience.
- 5+ years of experience in planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating large-scale, multi-discipline CBRN field and table-top exercises.
- Mandatory knowledge of the characteristics and effects of peacetime WMD and wartime conventional and CBRN weapons.
