JOB DESCRIPTION
CBRN Military Planner will provide SME support to USAFE-AFAFRICA/A4CX, CBRNE Branch. Qualified personnel will provide subject matter expertise in managing/providing support to the USAFE-AFAFRICA EOD Program, EM & CBRNE Defense Program, and Medical Chemical, Biological, Radiological, & Nuclear (CBRN) Program. These capabilities are critical to ensuring USAFE-AFAFRICA can meet new emerging CBRNE readiness focus requirements for home station, expeditionary, and contingency environments across the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments on unit and installation vulnerability to various attack methods
- Receive, analyze, and disseminate all-source intelligence threat information, preparing timely threat estimates through developed metrics and analysis tools
- Analyze CBRNE threats, developing mitigation recommendations for potential threats to missions, facilities, and personnel
- Serve as a member of the USAFE-AFAFRICA Threat Working Group (TWG), an Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) advisory body for all installations to coordinate on MAJCOM-level threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments
- Review battlefield CBRNE operating systems, conduct front-end analysis, develop related CBRNE intelligence products and analysis, and provide recommendations on emerging CBRNE technologies and their applications to enhance mission performance
- Provide the MAJCOM Staff with detailed gap analyses on the adversarial CBRNE threats to USAFE-AFAFRICA installations and friendly forces protection education and training, processes, procedures, and readiness
Required Skills/Qualifications - Must have served in the USAF as an Officer or Senior Non-Commissioned Officer
- Must have 3 years experience in each of the following:
- Air Force Operations Planning
- ACE maneuver planning
- Theater Operational Plan (OPLAN) development
- Unit Type Code (UTC) structure and employment
- USAF CBRN Defense Planning
- USAF Emergency Management Program Management
- Possess at least two years of experience in MAJCOM Staff or higher
- Have a fundamental familiarity and understanding of CBRN Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Must possess an active Top Secret clearance
