The position

• Web editorial (website and social media): Develop and execute strategies for online communication via the website and social media platforms. Create engaging content and ensure day-to-day operations. Monitor analytics and adjust strategies for optimized performance
• Visitor Center Outreach Event Development: Devise, plan, and execute innovative formats and events at the Visitor and Conference Center. Collaborate with colleagues as well as with internal and external stakeholders to execute these formats as part of event organization and visitor engagement. Contribute to the marketing strategy for outreach events
• Event Organization: Contribute to the planning and execution of events for diverse audiences, including the general public, school and university students, VIP visits, and high-ranking delegations. Assist in the annual planning and evaluation of events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• PR Activities: Participate in the editorial, media and public relations activities of the Communications group, with a focus on visitor center activities. Develop and manage communication activities to promote events, exhibitions, and visits at the visitor center to a range of target audiences

Requirements

• Expertise: University degree and proven experience in communication, journalism, or online communication. Experience in social media management, content creation, and website operation
• Event Coordination: Demonstrated experience in successfully designing, organizing and executing events
• Public Relations Skills: Strong PR background tailored to the requirements of the position, e.g. science communication, website and social media management, journalism, education and outreach or related fields
• Collaborative Spirit: motivated team player, engaged to lead events as well as contributing to larger projects
• Multilingual Proficiency: Fluency in German and English, additional languages are an advantage
