The Animationsinstitut of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg trains outstanding talent on the highest level in the fields of Animation, Visual Effects, Technical Directing, Animation/Effects Producing and Interactive Media. The institute also has its own Research and Development Department.

We are looking for a part-time (50%) specialist, starting immediately, initially for a limited period of two years

Virtual Production Engineer (m/w/d)

The responsibilities include:

• Technical support in the virtual production environment incl. Mocap, Ncam, LED wall (incl. controller), studio lighting, high-end graphics workstation
• Supervision of virtual productions at the FABW incl. basic lectures
• Support for non-linear production formats (XR) with new technologies

• Completed studies or several years of professional experience in media production, ideally with experience in virtual production
• Knowledge of real-time/game technology, virtual production and DCC applications
• Strong social skills, problem-solving and development skills
• Organizational talent, ability to work under pressure, versatility and flexibility, ability to work in a team
• Work permit within the European Union
• You have a sense of social responsibility and are open and sensitive to sustainability, diversity and equality

The position advertised is basically divisible. The remuneration is based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L).
