The Project/ Construction Manager is responsible for providing project/ construction management services associated with major tenant improvements, space reconfiguration projects, new construction projects, and new infrastructure / upgrade projects within assigned properties ensuring that project requirements are being met for our client. The intent is to ensure critical client business needs, related to construction, are addressed promptly and in a safe, professional, cost-effective manner with all the project scope, budget and schedule objectives satisfied. This role is part of a multi service multiyear global contract with an American specialist chemical company. You will be part of the European PMO organisation. This role may require international business travel.
Education, Experience, Skills, and Qualifications (E= Essential; D=Desirable):
- Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Project/construction management or Architecture/ Civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in construction project management with a track record of successfully delivering projects safely, on time and within budget (E).
- Construction methodologies experience with strong safety compliance skills required (E).
- Understanding and knowledge of technical documents, building codes and safety regulations, in which work if being performed, to ensure compliance (D).
- Native German and fluent English with strong writing skills (E).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Office tools (E).
- Strong drive for leadership and communication to manage teams and stakeholders to drive successful projects.
- Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
- Experienced in risk management able to tackle challenge and manage conflict.
- Able to work both independent and as part of a team within in a multi-cultural environment.
