We are currently seeking Senior Export Compliance Officer to join our Corporate Export Compliance Center of Excellence team in our Seelze facility.

Reporting to the Export Compliance Manager EMEA, your focus will be to maintain framework of compliant exports with controlled substances, prepare regulatory monitoring, tie with stakeholders to design state of the art reliable and agile process for trade with controlled substances and serving as trusted point of contact for government officers in cases of audits and more. This is an exciting opportunity to solve complex issues in international trade for a Fortune 100 company.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working model of 3x on-site, 2x full remote.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Proactively analyze business needs and partner up with internal and external stakeholders to complete steps to ensure compliant international trade with controlled substances.
• Build professional relationships with government stakeholders, be partner to them when handling Honeywell license applications or performing audits, timely prepare and submit statutory reporting.
• Work to analyze existing processes and continuously assess improvement needs in terms of data quality and controls over existing operational model of international trade.
• Build cross-functional relationships to develop agile processes for cooperation and continuous process improvements.
• Partner up with other Export Compliance Officers in the region to improve flow of day-to-day work.
• Continuous learning as regulatory environment changes, implement necessary measures.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree or three years of corporate experience in lieu of a degree.
• Fluent English (C1 and above) and German (C1 or above).
• Exposure to export compliance through work experience, or an interest in compliance themes and willingness to learn.
• Growth mindset, resilient personality and independent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office suite.
