We offer a full time position as Economic Analyst and competitive remuneration. Responsibilities
- Active co-creation of studies, appraisals and presentations, from the conception to the execution of economic analyses up to the documentation and client presentation of results
- Applying skills and knowledge gained during graduate studies to develop and critically assess qualitative and quantitative arguments
- Efficiently conducting empirical and quantitative analyses in Excel, Stata, R, Python, MATLAB or another environment
- Close collaboration with colleagues and clients as well as clear communication of complex economic issues, including actively participating in team and client meetings
- Develop and strengthen project and people management skills
Your profile
- PhD in economics, finance or a similar discipline, very good undergraduate degree
- Relevant fields may include, but are not limited to: Microeconomics, IO, Asset Pricing, and Corporate Finance. Knowledge of Energy Economics is helpful but not required
- Strong analytic, quantitative, and practical problem-solving skills such as econometrics, statistics, programming, or applied mathematics
- Keen and able to apply knowledge gained during graduate studies to complex real-life economic issues
- Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, precise and solution-oriented way of working, having the ability to quickly become acquainted with unknown issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English, other languages are of advantage
- High degree of reliability, sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team and motivation
- First experience in applied economic research, e.g. through internships or first work experience with international organizations, economic research institutes, consulting firms or banks
