We are seeking a high-performing Senior Android Engineer on behalf of our client, a fast-growing, venture-backed financial technology company. In this pivotal role, you will build next-generation FinTech infrastructure within a high-agency, collaborative environment. Operating alongside cross-functional product and design teams, you will turn high-fidelity designs into scalable, highly optimized production software.
You bring exceptional engineering standards, deep product awareness, and strong user empathy. Your execution speed and architectural vision will serve as a core foundation for the mobile team. Additionally, you will pioneer the native integration of Web3 architecture and crypto wallet functionality directly into the Android ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Application Engineering: Architect, test, and deploy core native Android applications using Kotlin and modern continuous delivery pipelines.
- UI/UX Implementation: Transform Figma designs into fluid interfaces with Jetpack Compose and contemporary layout standards.
- Web3 Integration: Prototype and build secure Web3 systems and intuitive crypto wallet features natively on Android.
- Code Craftsmanship: Maintain a clean, modular codebase using automated unit and UI testing to ensure stability.
- System Optimization: Drive excellence in performance, analytics, localization, and memory management.
- Agile Collaboration: Actively contribute to iterative agile workflows with a strong sense of team ownership.
Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Extensive experience shipping commercial-grade native Android applications (5+ years preferred).
- Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android UI libraries.
- Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of MVVM, MVI, and scalable software design.
- Rigorous Testing: Solid experience with unit testing and automated UI testing frameworks.
- Design & Optimization: Precision in translating Figma assets and a strong focus on memory footprint, lifecycle management, and execution speed.
