Your Mission

As a Supply Chain Enabler, you will drive efficient and economically viable route-to-market solutions across countries, suppliers, and procurement. You will lead feasibility analyses, transport benchmarks, and pricing strategies that support informed decision-making and the successful scaling of assortments. Your role ensures end-to-end alignment between Procurement, Supply Chain, suppliers, and Metro Countries – guaranteeing stable supply flows, performance transparency, and adherence to defined targets. Through analytical problem-solving, proactive stakeholder collaboration, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement, you will contribute to operational excellence and sustainable business growth.

What You Will Do

• Calculate route-to-market and feasibility studies within international flow management
• Run transport benchmarks for all direct shipment projects and deliver RTM decisions and recommendations
• Compute customer prices for articles routed via the RDC and coordinate MIS processes for new assortment start-ups
• Develop and align concepts with commercial teams to hit growth, brand-change, and new-assortment targets
• Apply analytical approaches to complex challenges – from dangerous goods to entirely new categories like Fresh
• Refine feasibility and solution frameworks, including System Approach and Route-to-Market studies
• Collaborate with commercial departments (Food and Non-Food), countries, and internal/external partners on supply chain matters
• Monitor and steer supplier performance (OTIF, lead times), including corrective actions and escalations
• Coordinate contractual penalties in alignment with Commercial and SCM

What You Bring

• Deep operational expertise in route-to-market and feasibility calculations, including category-specific knowledge (Frozen, Fresh, Spirits, etc.)
• Academic degree plus 4+ years of professional experience in supply chain, international trading, or sourcing
• Comprehensive understanding of the sourcing value chain and international trading context
• Structured, concise communication skills and the ability to drive change management with analytical rigor and common sense
• Excellent English proficiency, plus fluent German or another European language relevant to our customer portfolio
• Strong internal networking within METRO, a detail-oriented and structured personality, and a proactive team-player mindset
