Job Title: Archt-II Solutions Architect (INTL)

NOTE: This is an opportunity within the Early-in-Career team
Provides pre-sales advisory and solution consultancy support for our enterprise clients, helping them to embrace innovation and drive change, not just react to it. Working closely with core sales and other pre-sales functions, the Archt-II Solutions Architect is aligned to specific sales teams within the branch or designated to supporting a larger group of targeted customers in region. The Archt-II Solutions Architect is expected to possess basic foundational knowledge of Wide Area Networking technologies. The Solutions Architect will have an aptitude to learn the business value and technical details of Software Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization. Additionally, the candidate must also have the ability to work as a generalist learning and supporting related technical domains (like Security and Unified Communications & Collaboration).
As a trusted partner with our clients, the Archt-II Solutions Architect is focused on the business problems that we aim to solve, not just the technologies that we use. The candidate will quickly become an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professional who consults, designs, documents and presents to both IT & non-IT business execs.
The Archt-II Solutions Architect will continuously acquire and grow knowledge in Verizon’s technology offerings by completing trainings, attending corporate partner and vendor presentations, acquiring certifications, and assisting with specialized project requests.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Provides pre-sales customer support, guidance and insight for activities focused on standard product-based solutions
- Adhere to a standard model for engagement, consultancy, solution development and execution to help enable a platform for best practice to evolve
- Work as part of a wider pre-sales team, supporting peers and taking ownership as needed.
- Responsible for adherence to Verizon solution design governance in terms of both Deal Lifecycle Management and consistent use of standard design tools
- Working within a standard framework to ensure we have a solid hand-off ‘pre- to post-sales’ with our Service and Program Management functions
- Contributor to the creation of customer specific value proposition, linking clients’ business objectives & requirements to our proposed end to end solution
- Build and develop relationships with client stakeholders and participate in on-going governance programs to ensure best practice/effective communication
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people can understand
- Take personal pride and invest in your personal brand development, leveraging internal educational and training tools for knowledge / technology certifications as well as seeking external sources for inspiration.
- Maintain technology/industry best practice certifications as appropriate (Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL, TOGAF etc).
Job Requirements:

- Proficiency in modern office tools such as Google and Microsoft suites.
- Knowledge or experience with Modern IP Data Networking (routing, switching, load balancing, high availability, etc)
