We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Career Coach to join our team. As a Career Coach, you will provide guidance, support, and expertise to individuals seeking career development and advancement. Your primary responsibility will be to help clients identify their career goals, create strategic action plans, and navigate the job market effectively. By utilizing your knowledge of various industries and employment trends, you will empower clients to make informed decisions about their professional paths.

Tasks

Career Guidance:

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' skills, interests, values, and goals to gain a comprehensive understanding of their career aspirations.
• Provide expert guidance and advice on career exploration, job search strategies, and professional development opportunities.
• Assist clients in identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, helping them align their skills with relevant job opportunities.

• Review and critique clients' resumes, cover letters, and other application materials to ensure they effectively showcase their qualifications and experience.
• Offer suggestions for improving content, format, and overall presentation to increase the chances of securing interviews.
• Stay updated on current industry standards and best practices related to resume writing and applicant tracking systems.

• Conduct mock interviews with clients, offering constructive feedback on their interviewing skills, body language, and communication style.
• Equip clients with techniques and strategies to effectively answer common interview questions and handle challenging scenarios.
• Provide guidance on researching companies, understanding job requirements, and tailoring responses to specific roles.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized career plans, including short-term and long-term goals, action steps, and timelines.
• Assist clients in identifying potential career paths, exploring alternative options, and making informed decisions regarding career changes or advancements.
• Help clients evaluate the feasibility of their goals and provide ongoing support to track progress and adjust plans as necessary.

• Advise clients on job search strategies, including networking, online job boards, industry-specific resources, and professional associations.
• Assist clients in creating and maintaining an effective online presence, including optimizing their LinkedIn profiles and utilizing social media platforms for job search.
• Offer guidance on researching potential employers, uncovering hidden job opportunities, and utilizing informational interviews.

Requirements

• Extremely reliable and professional at all times
• Proven experience as a Career Coach, Career Counselor, or related role (Bachelor's degree in career counseling, psychology, human resources, or a related field Master's degree preferred)
• At least basic knowledge of career development theories, assessments, and resources.
• Familiarity with current job market trends, industry-specific skills, and recruitment practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication style to diverse clients (english needs to be excellent, if it is your second language, it needs to be close to native or bilingual)
• Outstanding listening skills and empathy to understand clients' needs and tailor coaching sessions accordingly.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport, establish trust, and maintain confidentiality with clients.
• Proficiency in utilizing career assessment tools, online job search platforms, and applicant tracking systems.
• Certification as a Career Coach or membership in relevant professional organizations is a plus.
