ABOUT THE ROLE

In the next 12 months BEAT81 will double its operations in Berlin and you as our new "City Operations Manager" will be a key player to achieve this ambitious plan and to ensure that the foundation of our organizations, our workout locations, operate efficiently and smoothly and offer a 5 star experience for our customers and coaches at all times.

You will take full ownership for our location operations in Berlin, including managing a team of four operations associates and handyman, managing daily location operations and maintaining the highest standards at our studios. You will directly report to the City Lead and together with your team you will be responsible for managing and developing our 15+, soon to be 20+ indoor locations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage & operate our 15 (soon to be 20) indoor fitness studios together with your team of operations associates & handyman and provide a 5 star experience for our 100+ coaches and 10 000+ weekly customers at all times
• Maintain our locations at the highest standard by regularly conducting location audits, planning initiatives for an improved location experience and coordinating external service providers
• Monitor and respond to location feedback, promptly addressing any issues or concerns by either resolving them directly or delegating tasks to the appropriate personnel (e.g., studio managers or handymen)
• Collaborate with our Expansion Team and support the launch of new locations
• Keep the communication flowing by keeping all stakeholders (internal and external) informed about important updates and changes

ABOUT YOU

• Experience in operations management or a related field, preferably in a startup environment with offline operations, or health & fitness industry.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and stay organised while multitasking in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication skills in German & English, both verbal and written
• Proven track record of effective stakeholder management and community engagement
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges
• The role is based in Berlin
