The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society. The school offers master’s programmes, executive education and doctoral programmes, distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research. The Data4Good Festival is centered on data challenges for the common good bringing together bachelors students from across Europe, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovative solutions to address pressing societal issues using data-driven approaches. The festival will host a weekend of fun, learning and innovation while letting students enjoy great moments in Berlin.
We are looking for
3 Student Assistants
(part-time with 10 hours/week) to support with the organisation of the event in April 2024 in Berlin. The position will last for 4 months from January-April 2024.
Your tasks:
- Support with the preparation and organisation of the Data4Good Festival;
- Research on the topics and themes of the festival and develop content for the event;
- Work with and support sponsors for the event;
- Attend training on the latest tools in generative AI;
- Deliver administrative support and mentorship for the participants during the event.
Your profile:
- A bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a Master's programme at a German university;
- Experience working with Python and/or R for programming and research;
- Evidence of English proficiency at an advanced level;
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly in writing and verbally;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
