Join the Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) initiative, funded by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA)! This project aims to deliver high-impact training workshops focused on the harmonized application of the Official Controls Regulation (OCR), enhanced import controls at border control posts (BCPs), and effective utilization of the Trade Control and Expert System (TRACES).
Your work will directly contribute to strengthening the capacity of competent authorities in EU Member States, Candidate Countries, and select EU Neighbourhood Countries. Together, we'll ensure food and feed safety, animal and plant health, and consumer protection, all in line with the EU’s "One Health" approach.
As Project Manager, you will spearhead the successful execution of this vital project across multiple EU countries. This initial phase spans 30 months, with a potential 30-month extension. You'll be at the helm of technical, logistical, and financial operations, guaranteeing top-tier workshop delivery and strict adherence to the contracting authority’s guidelines. Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ultimate responsibility for service delivery under the contract
- Managing the entire project lifecycle, including work plan creation, timeline management, and deliverable oversight
- Serving as the primary contact and communication hub for the contracting authority, DG SANTE, and other key stakeholders
- Supervising training coordinators, moderators, event managers, and support staff
- Ensuring training organization and participant selection align with quotas and contractual obligations
- Overseeing reporting (interim and final), data entry into HaDEA platforms, and KPI monitoring
- Integrating sustainability measures into project delivery, aligning with the EU Green Deal
- A university degree relevant to the tender's subject matter
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience managing large-scale EU-funded or international cooperation projects
- Demonstrated experience in training coordination or capacity development, ideally within public health, food safety, or regulatory sectors
- Exceptional stakeholder coordination and team leadership abilities
- Experience collaborating with EU Member States and/or Candidate Countries
- Proficiency in digital project management tools
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of additional EU languages is a plus
- Familiarity with the BTSF initiative, HaDEA, or DG SANTE projects is a significant advantage
