• Manage and optimize the supply chain (650M€ / year) across the Rheinmetall Group
• Manage and represent our chemicals team across all divisions
• Leading a crossfunctional & virtual team
• Develope & implement commodity strategy to rationalize our supplier base, reduce the plants' complexity and leveraging remaining suppliers
• Build material database on chemical components to develope a better understanding of the commodity evaluation
• Improve commodity availability forecast to enhance negotiation results
• Lead the risk analysis to mitigate and prevent disruptions in the supply chain
• Support our divisions on the most critical commodity shortages
• Ensure proper escalation and full capacity utilization in our plants

• Successfully completed master studies in the field of engineering or equivalent
• Several years of experience in a purchasing environment
• Strong negotiation skills
• International experience in a complex matrix organization with a multi-cultural environment ideal
• Business fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages advantageous)
• Ability to build strong collaborative environments and relationships
• Understanding our business portfolio, potential challendes & our customers' demands
• Problem solving competence
• Wilingness to travel >50%
