As part of the team of the Bioinformatics Core of the UKE you will support different bioinformatics projects. Your tasks will include the evaluation of various "omics" data (especially genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, and proteomics) as well as the automation of analysis workflows.

This position is to be filled on a temporary basis as a parental leave replacement and initially limited until 31.12.2025. Part-time options are possible.

• Successfully completed studies in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related scientific subject at a university level
• Proficient with at least one scripting language
• Good command of Linux
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Solid communication skills
• Knowledge of sequence data analysis, statistics, machine learning, scientific workflow systems, containerization, and computer clusters is a plus.
• High motivation, coordination and organization skills, readiness of mind, ability to act independently, high team spirit
